The time has come...

I never thought I would see the day in which Yours truly would ever conceive a notion of attaining a Myspace, ive been against it for years, for reasons beyond my control. I have one.

myspace.com/petrified_and_blazed

I never could get the hang of wednesdays

Wednesdays are my busy days. Work pretty much all day, and a few classes nestled  between.

Film club meeting in 10 minutes, afraid this will be a short one.

I present my latest garbage by yours truly, enjoy, feedback appreciated.

The topic was a political poem, anyone who knows me, knows that I am

probably the least political guy out there...but I took a crack at it.

                                                   Utter Disbelief

                  By: Christopher Marshall

Wipe the crusties from my eyes

            The aroma of fragrant beans

                        Filled my nostrils

Nestled safely in my sofa

I relax and read the paper

                        Nothing but death

My eyes roll across numerous topics

From social security to national security

All the way to the funnies

There it is

            In big, bold, black ink

                        Iran seeks nuclear empowerment”

My head begins to spin

Like I am on a carnival ride

                        Gone haywire

Thousands of miles away

            Hundreds die a day

                        Often for no reason

Children are handed guns, grenades, ammunition

            Toys of an older generation

To fight our boys over there

Iran now seeks our attention

            On purpose or not

                        They have achieved it

What will tomorrow’s paper bring?

            Nestled safely in my sofa

                        I relax and ponder

Burrito supreme, and a chicken supreme and a Cutless Supreme

This week Friday is on Thursday, which happens to be today. Whoo! Headed back in just a few short hours. Is going to be great seeing my family again, its been a little less than a month since my last visit home. Looking forward to it with much anticipation. I beleive my mom is even making her famous Tacos this weekend too.

Well last night turned out to be a very fun night. Got off of work about 10:10 ish. Hung out with some friends for a bit and headed back to the dorm, watching tv with my roomate and the fucking power blinks out, it got pitch black. Thank god for my flashlight, its funny too...last week we had a safety meeting in our dorm, and they handed out litte "safety" bags, with flashlights in them.....but no batteries! ha Definately one of the funnest black outs ive ever been in.   Some of us thought it was part of the festivities for homecoming week.Roaming the campus in the dark was quite the experiance and rather creepy or...unsettleling what with all the spirits walking about campus. Bought a sandwhich from a dude outside, it was good too, really good.

Tis all for now folks, after my shift ends here in the library, im skipping town.

Excrement Will Rain

Tis a fine morning aint it?

Got out of psych 30 minutes ago. We had to grade each others mid-term, I couldnt beleive that shit, but whatever I got a B+ only missed 8 out of 50, not too shabby. TV production class in 40 min followed by a shift in the library and English to round out my day...short week this week...and next week too no classes next Friday  Whooop!

This is hot off the net... LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Korean-born actor John Cho of "Harold & Kumar" fame has been cast as Sulu in the new "Star Trek" feature, playing a role immortalized by Japanese-American actor George Takei.

Additionally, Simon Pegg ("Shaun of the Dead") has boarded the Paramount project as Scotty, the ship's Scottish chief engineer.

Its so damn crazy...that it just might work.

Im tempted to attend the Thunderbird meeting tonight, thunderbird is our schools theatre group, i need to go because I will be looking for actors pretty soon for the 2 male leads in my short film project, nothing definate yet mind you. Its got the humor that you would expect from me and also..i think...it touches the the heart a bit.   I wouldnt go as far as to say a tearjerker, not yet anyway, but the last scene is gearing up towards a very emotional ending.

Thats all for now, update when conditions warrant.

Pysch

Psychology mid-term was this morning. Wasnt too bad despite our lackluster study group lastnight, which by the way was interrupted by a fire drill. Im confident that I scored really well on the exam.

As of now it doesnt look im going to make it home this weekend. If i were to go i wouldnt be back until sometime Tuesday afternoon, and that just isnt going to fly SO looks like ill be hanging around campus again, which isnt a bad thing really, all the fun stuff happens on the weekend anyway, which baffles me everytime i hear about someone just dieing to go home. I have fun. No its not just the drinking either, there is always some activity going on around campus or some concert downtown. Lawrence is pretty badass.

No longer dating the ever so wild and illustrious katy, our schedules simply dont allow it at the moment, this is where the "friends with benefits" moniker fits in, and who was I to think a long distance releationship would actually work. But i still love my katy more than ever, and she loves me and thats all that matters.

Anywho, my shift is about up, and I must be getting to English.
